The Grapes
The 2019 vintage was one of the most unusual with very low winter rain, frost free spring, excellent fruit set and good rains up to December then very dry till harvest. The conditions resulted in a record crop set, slow ripening conditions due to the lack of rain, which meant harvest was late and took place at the end of March. The quality of the grapes was not affected, and instead we saw a record high quality vintage.
