The Grapes
The 2022 season was one of the coolest and wettest, with record rains, frost free spring, a welcome change from the previous years of drought affected crops.
However, a hailstorm in January 2022 caused a 50% loss of some crops. The harvest was in near perfect dry, and cool conditions. Resulting in very high quality fruit, of wonderful balance. harvested in early March. The unique season produced a premium quality Canberra District Riesling
The Wine
Intense lemony / lavender nose, clean bright and lifted. The wine is very delicate and fine, with lingering lime fruit. A beautifully balanced Riesling of acid, fruit, and texture. A high quality wine with many years cellaring potential.
Serve with
A versatile wine that will complement a variety of cuisines. Drinks beautifully now with grilled Whiting.
Cellar for
25 years plus, although if you prefer fresh crisp wines drink it now.
