Critters in the Vineyard

Helm Wines is fortunate enough to be frequented by many wildlife visitors as well as the human ones! Regular visitors include Winston the Echidna, Wagner the Kookaburra and Amadeus the Wallaby.

We hope you are lucky enough to see some on your visit to the winery.

Helm Wines is committed to protecting and sustaining this diverse range of wildlife and over the last few years we have increased plantings of native vegetation and the eradication of noxious weeds to encourage more critters in the vineyard. Our efforts have been rewarded with new fauna and flora discovered in the vineyard recently including for the first time in our 40 years on the property - a wombat!
